Caccamo

Caccamo, a charming Norman town in Sicily founded in 1903, feels like stepping into a storybook. Just a quick 45-minute drive from both Palermo and Cefalù, and a short 15-minute trip from Termini Imerese, it’s a place rich in mystery and history. Legend has it that Carthaginian soldiers, seeking refuge, chose this rugged hilltop to settle—and what a choice they made. The town’s crown jewel is its majestic Norman castle, perched boldly on a towering rock. Built in the 11th century, it remains one of the most beautifully preserved castles in all of Sicily and Italy.
